With a passion for animals --especially cats (hers are spoiled rotten and keep her in line), Melissa is a big supporter of the Scott County Humane Society and the Humane Society of the US.
Melissa enjoys cooking and baking (Jim enjoys eating what she makes), watching Food Network (especially Paula Deen), and is a huge fan of American Idol (don't tell Jim, but she is an Adam Lambert groupie) and Dancing with the Stars. She's watched General Hospital since 1981 and The Young and Restless since the late 70's.
Her guilty pleasure is The Tudors - Jonathan Rhys Meyers ROCKS as King Henry VIII. She and Jim never miss 24, Dexter, and Survivor; they love their "Survivor Night" tradition.
She loves Hershey's Bliss dark chocolate but says not to chew it because dark chocolate is bitter if chewed. Instead, hold it in your mouth and allow it to melt.....it is fantastic! She also loves feeding and watching her "back yard critters" on her deck. Her squirrels and birds are the fattest in town.
Melissa loves the business aspects of JCP and puts her business degree from ETSU to excellent use.
